Birr Golf Club, founded in 1893 in County Offaly, Ireland, is a semi-private 18-hole course built across esker terrain, with ridges, hills and hollows, woodland, and undulating fairways shaping play throughout the round. Holes 10 through 15 are particularly beguiling, where the esker landscape creates a distinct stretch of the course. Birr Golf Club is ranked 78th by Golf World and has hosted the Midland Boys tournament. A driving range is located adjacent to the entrance. The clubhouse includes an excellent restaurant and bar, and a well-stocked golf shop.

Jon RyanJuly 18, 2017My own course so I am biased, but I have played quite a few elsewhere.Lovely challenge here- requires a little bit of plotting so for the most part you do not need to be a big hitter. Greens run moderate pace, I think they are easier than they look though( might be I was having a good putting day.)
