Only played 10 holes but it wasn’t as bad as I expected. Was on my own and had to wait around a bit. Also developed a nasty slice on the irons so lost a few balls. And by a few I mean a lot of

Good quality, challenging, but lacks the extra details that you’d get at a non-council course

Overall enjoyed the course , 1st visit today , no signage to direct you round course . Cheap green fees are a plus . Some tees a bit scruffy , greens were good but a bit soft but I put that down to recent weather. Some challenging holes. Not too much interference from dog walkers . We did encounter a group near the woodland centre that thought it was ok for their children to play on the tee and move the markers. All in all an enjoyable round and now we know our way round it will be less of a challenge when we return

It’s a public course, In a woodland popular with dog walkers. Greens are hard work at this time of year, some spongy, most bumpy but it’s £24 a round, friendly place, tight and challenging in places. But it’s fine for £24 pay and play and very scenic summer and autumn.

Always enjoyed the challenging holes but the general condition of the course is not great. Grass on the tees are long and fairways quite poor.
