Bayonet Golf Course

Bayonet Golf Course in Seaside, California was designed by General Robert B. McClure and opened in 1954 as a municipal course. It plays to a par 72 over 18 holes and stretches to 7,104 yards. Oak and cypress-lined fairways, narrow corridors, and steep penal bunkering define the layout. Holes 11 through 15 form the Combat Corner sequence — four consecutive sharp doglegs followed by a 226-yard uphill par 3 — which concentrates the course's sharpest challenges in one stretch. The course has hosted the PGA Professional National Championship twice (2012, 2018), the Sr. PGA Professional National Championship (2015), US Open Sectional Qualifying (2010), US Amateur Sectional Qualifying (2015–2020), and the Buy.com Monterey Peninsula Classic (2000–2003), among numerous other events.
