Ballinrobe Golf Club

Ballinrobe Golf Club, designed by Eddie Hackett and opened in 1895, is an 18-hole parkland course in County Mayo, Ireland, playing to par 73 over 6,300+ yards. The layout runs through a mature landscape threaded with the River Robe, lakes, ponds, trees, gorse, and bunkers. Water comes into play repeatedly and with consequence. The green on hole 5 is inset directly into the River Robe. Hole 10 features an island green that demands absolute precision. A lake sits short of the green on hole 13, which also slopes back toward the water. Hole 15 presents an extremely tricky two-tiered green. A large practice green and dedicated chipping and pitching areas are available before the round. The clubhouse occupies a 250-year-old house and restored farm buildings. A pro shop stocks a wide range of merchandise for gents and ladies, and the bar carries a warm and friendly atmosphere.
