Avondale Golf Club

Avondale Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-71 private course in Pymble, New South Wales, Australia, stretching between 5,744 and 6,110 metres across native and rugged bushland terrain. Designed by Eric Apperly and opened in 1927, the course ranks 66th on the 2026 Golf Digest list of Australia's Top 100 golf courses and holds Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary status, awarded in 2001. The club hosts its own amateur programme including the Avondale Amateur, Avondale Medal, and Avondale Bowl. Practice facilities include a fairway with mats and a grass area, a putting green in front of the Clubhouse, and a chipping green at the end of the practice fairway. Lessons with the club's pros can be booked on site. The pro shop carries apparel and equipment, with Avondale Pitch tools available from Reception. The heritage-listed Clubhouse, originally built in 1927 and since renovated, accommodates up to 200 guests for seated dining or 250 for cocktail-style events.
