Avondale Golf Club

Rated one of the most-played courses in Canterbury on Hole19, Avondale Golf Club is an 18-hole semi-private layout in Christchurch, New Zealand, that has been in play since 1919. The course is built across sandhills and mounding, with bunkers and trees shaping play throughout the layout. The terrain gives the round a links-influenced character without leaving the city. A large, perfectly manicured practice green with chipping surfaces and a bunker is available before the round. The clubhouse includes the 19th Hole café, which serves breakfast, shows live sport on big screens, and has a pool table and outdoor areas. The bar carries the widest beverage range of any local golf club and is supplied by Asahi Premium Beverages. Two virtual golf simulators powered by Flightscope technology run on 200° screens with 40 built-in courses.
