Augusta Golf Club

Rated among Hole19 golfers, Augusta Golf Club in Augusta, Western Australia, is the number one sand greens course in the state and ranked 35th overall in Western Australia. Designed by Murray and Eileen Dawson and Maxine Bishop and opened in 1958, the 18-hole, par-72 layout runs from 5,034 to 5,837 metres across terrain shaped by peppermint and grass trees, swales, and hillocks, with the Blackwood River Valley in the background. Indian Ocean views are a recurring feature of the round. Hole 13, a par 5, looks out to the ocean through grass trees. Hole 17 frames small reefs and islands in the Indian Ocean and is considered the best hole on the course. Access is semi-private. The modern clubhouse looks out over forests rolling down to the Blackwood River.
