Asama Kogen Country Club

Asama Kogen Country Club is a 27-hole hillside course in Tomi, Nagano Prefecture, spread across the foothills of Mount Eboshi with panoramic views of the Yatsugatake mountains and the North Alps in all directions. The layout rolls with gentle but consistent elevation changes throughout. OB runs along one side or the other on every hole, so a controlled swing matters more than power. The bentgrass greens feature multiple mounds on each putting surface, meaning the challenge continues well after you find the green. All four par-3s require a carry over water, and on the par-4 17th a pond cuts into the fairway near the landing zone, making the right half of the fairway the sensible target off the tee.
