Asahino Country Club

Asahino Country Club is an 18-hole hillside course in Higashiomi, Shiga Prefecture, Japan, set across gently rolling terrain with a spacious, large-scale layout. Rather than relying heavily on bunkers, the design makes effective use of natural ponds and trees to create variety from hole to hole. The greens are large and feature subtle undulation throughout — most notably the 4th green, where the severity of the slopes makes it one of the toughest holes on the course. On the front nine, the 7th hole stands out as a bold, dramatic test. On the back nine, the 13th plays uphill on a gentle gradient, demanding distance on every shot to reach the green in regulation.
