Arita Tokyu Golf Club

Arita Tokyu Golf Club is an 18-hole hillside course in Aridagawa, Wakayama Prefecture, where the mountainous terrain has been shaped into surprisingly flat playing surfaces throughout. Ponds and creeks are woven into the layout at multiple points, adding both visual appeal and strategic weight. The standout hole is the Blue Course's 7th, a par-4 where a wide creek cuts diagonally across the fairway. Playing left is the safer option, but leaves a long approach. Attacking the right side — better positioned for the green — demands accurate ball-striking and a carry of around 200 yards, making club selection a genuine dilemma. The 9th hole on both the Blue and Red nines also rewards careful thinking, with each playing alongside a large pond that spreads out below the clubhouse.
