Description
Amber Baltic Golf Club (Championship) hosted the first Polish Open Championships and the first Polish Open Amateur Championships, giving it a place in Polish golf history that few courses can match. It also has the XXXI POLONIA CUP by Sotogrande on its tournament record. Opened in 1993 and designed by Pierre Delacour and Hans Georg Erhardt, the 18-hole, par-72 layout sits in West Pomeranian Voivodeship, Poland, moving through pine forests across varied terrain with water hazards and bunkers throughout. Hole 6 is the course's hardest par 3, played from an elevated tee into the wind. Hole 11 is statistically the most difficult on the card. Hole 15 reaches the highest green on the course. Practice facilities include a driving range, two putting greens, a chipping area, a pitching area, and a golf academy with a licensed instructor offering individual lessons, group lessons, and Green Card courses. The pro shop carries golf equipment. The restaurant opens Thursday to Sunday from 12:00, serving fish and beef dishes, vegetarian and children's options, and pizza on weekends. The bar offers wines, whisky, and cocktails.

If only there was more attention to detail it would rate 5 star. Interesting course but why are the carts all run down, the range in poor shape, definitely issues with wild boars and moles to a large extent that other courses seem to have found a solution with. Some tees could need some overhaul etc. But please continue playing there. More green fees = more investments into the course?

The course is a good mix of everything. Short an long holes. Water, dog legs, uphill you name it. One star deduction purely because is dislike courses where everyone slightest fairway miss results in a lost ball. Rough is meant to give you a bad lie, not the impossibility to ever find your ball. The other deduction is purely for the tee shot on hole 16. on the right side of the fairway is the main road which comes around a corner. So you will not even be able to time your shot when there are no cars. There is no fence and no trees. The hole is downhill so for someone like me this means carrying it 250m and yes you could just slice it straight on the road. Alternative is to play an iron safely. I decided to drop the ball on the fairway where a normal drive would be rather than risking my ball going through a windshield at 90 kph
