Albarella Golf Club

Albarella Golf Club sits on the island of Albarella in the Veneto region of Italy, a Sea Links layout designed by John Dering Harris and opened in 1972. The 18-hole course runs across dunes and around lakes, with wild olive trees and bunkers shaping play throughout, and the sea visible from several points on the course. Hole 4 is a very long par 5 played from a raised tee with sea views, wrapping almost completely around a large lake on the right. Yardage ranges from 5,176 to 6,130 metres. The course holds the Certificazione Ambientale GEO and has hosted the International Italian Open (1986), the BMW Ladies Italian Open (1991), and the Italian PGA Championship Challenge Tour Open. The Albarella Golf Academy, run with D7 Golf and PGA head-pro Antonio Dissette, covers lessons for beginners through professionals, with K-Vest and Flightscope technology, video analysis, CAPTO putt analysis, equipment fitting, and summer schools. The clubhouse restaurant looks out over the course and serves traditional Venetian and Polesine cuisine using local organic seasonal ingredients, fish of the day, wines, and craft beers.
