Aigi Country Club

Aigi Country Club is a 27-hole hillside course in Kani, Gifu Prefecture, Japan, divided into three loops: East, Middle, and West. The East Course plays long, with demanding par-4s throughout. The 2nd hole carries out-of-bounds left and right, while the 8th requires a climbing second shot to a large, generous green. The Middle Course is the toughest of the three. Its 4th hole is considered the hardest on the property — an uphill par that also plays as a dogleg, turning into a headwind from autumn through winter. The 7th adds a water carry to the challenge. The West Course offers a relative reprieve, though it has its own traps. The 7th plays longer than it looks for a short hole, and the 8th appears shorter than it is, making club selection easy to misjudge.
